At Ohio University Lancaster Campus the Center for Adult Learning offers a wide variety of programs, courses and services. Activities are provided at the Lancaster Campus and off-campus locations, including places of work. Through satellite receiver technology and computer links, modern distance education is available. University credit programs, business and industrial training and noncredit classes are offered in several formats.

Credit Programs
We offer professional development opportunities for school teachers and others in the public and private sectors of the workforce. These classes and programs are offered throughout the academic year and summer.

Independent Study / Credit by Examination
Teacher Professional Development

Non-credit Programs
The Center for Adult Learning offers quality noncredit programs and services for people of all ages, from personal enrichment to professional development. We also offer many web-based, noncredit courses.

Certificate Programs
The Center offers many different certificates. Students can gain valuable hands-on and academic experience through these programs. These certificates can provide a building block for an associates or bachelors degree.

Kids in College 2009
Kids In College is a three-week summer program for children in grades four thru eight. Now in its 30th year, the program provides a wide range of classes to choose from, including creative language classes (Russian, Spanish, French, Sign), various art classes, science, physical education, and many more.

Business and Industry
We understand that operating a business of any size is a complex task. With the extremely rapid changes in technology in every field, the need for employee training and development is no longer a luxury but a requirement. Meeting training needs on campus or at your worksite is part of the mission at Ohio University Lancaster Campus. Our goal is to help you keep ahead of developing technology. We are the education training professionals and we are here to assist you in enhancing employee skills, morale and productivity.

EMT Basic Training Program
Classes will begin September 22, 2009 (all classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturdays)

EMT Paramedic Training Program
Program will begin Fall Quarter 2009.
Pre-tests will be given on May11, 2-4pm; May 13, 10am-12nn; and May 14, 4-6pm in room 414. The pre-test will cover EMT-B material as well as math. The students receiving a grade of 80% or greater will be invited to continue in the selection process.
