OU Lancaster Revamps Electronic Media Degree Program

Ohio University Lancaster Campus’s academic officials reorganized the Electronic Media (Associate in Applied Science) program with new staff.

An information session on the program will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 6:00 p.m., room 417 Brasee Hall, at the Campus, according to Candice Thomas-Maddox, acting associate dean. A meeting with all current EM majors will be held the following day.

EM majors may choose either the audio/video track or the multimedia track and will take courses in audio and video production, advertising, radio-television performance, media analysis, multimedia, digital media, web design management and more, in addition to general courses required for the associate’s degree.
EM students also have many opportunities for hands-on experience during athletic and cultural events around Campus and in the community.
Graduates work in advertising agencies, cable television, broadcast television and radio, corporate and government communications, event productions and education and health media. Many graduates also continue their studies in Ohio University’s School of Telecommunications.
