Celebrate our freedom to read and the importance of the First Amendment during the Banned Books Breakfast in the Hannah V. McCauley Library at Ohio University Lancaster Campus.
Stop by in the Library beginning at 8:45 a.m. for juice, coffee, fruit, and other ‘grab and go’ items and take a look at the books that have been banned, restricted or otherwise targeted.
Banned Books Week, held during the last week of September, raises awareness about our intellectual freedom, the right to free and open access to information and the right to express ideas.
BBW is sponsored by the American Booksellers Association, American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression; the American Library Association; American Society of Journalists and Authors; Association of American Publishers; and the National Association of College Stores. It is endorsed by the Center for the Book in the Library of Congress.
