Beginning Fall quarter 2006, OU Lancaster will have a postdoctoral level therapist available to help to address the mental health needs and concerns of students and faculty/staff who have concerns about their students.

Candice Pennella, Psy.D. will be present on campus on Thursdays beginning Fall quarter 2006 and will be focusing upon education regarding mental health issues (i.e., depression, anxiety, stress management, etc.) and brief individual intervention with students.

Dr. Pennella's schedule is as follows:

THURSDAYS 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
11:00-1:00 - Available for outreach or educational programming

1:00-4:00 - "Drop-in" hours-Students may talk with Dr. Pennella with or without an appointment during this time.

4:00-6:00 - Available for outreach or educational programming

To contact Dr. Pennella regarding a mental health issue or to request outreach or educational programming, you may call 740.654-6711 Ext. 215. Or you may visit her office on Thursdays in Student Services, Brasee Hall.

If a student needs immediate mental health intervention, he or she may speak with Dr. Pennella only when she is available on campus. She will not be reachable for crisis, emergency, or individual counseling outside of her regularly scheduled day on campus. A student needing immediate attention should contact:
